Examples :

Maria went to school although she was ill (Maria est allée à l'école alors qu'elle était malade)

The clause with although can come at the beginning (La clause avec bien peut venir au début)

Although she was ill, Maria went to school. (Bien qu'elle soit malade, Maria est allée à l'école)

* Emphasize but and although with still and anyway. (Insistez sur mais et bien avec encore et quand même)

Maria felt ill, but she went to school anyway (Maria se sentit mal, mais elle est quand même allée à l'école)

Although she was ill, Maria went to school anyway. (Même si elle était malade, Maria est allée à l'école de toute façon)

Use yet instead of but in writing. (Utiliser encore au lieu de mais par écrit)
